REA to launch RAMCO as Nigeria seeks stronger investment and sustainability in renewable energy

The Rural Electrification Agency (REA) will launch the Renewable Asset Management Company (RAMCO) on August 26, 2026, in a move aimed at strengthening investment, improving asset sustainability and supporting the long-term development of Nigeria’s renewable energy sector. REA Managing Director, Abubakar Aliyu, said RAMCO would establish a specialised platform for the professional management, optimisation and long-term sustainability of renewable energy assets across the country.
