Applications are now open for the 2026/2027 Airtel Africa Foundation Tech Scholarship, which will support 50 deserving Zambian students from low socio-economic backgrounds pursuing technology-related undergraduate programmes.
The merit-based scholarship is open to new entrants and first-year students admitted for the 2026/2027 academic year to either of two participating public universities in Zambia for eligible technology degree programmes.
A total of 50 scholarships will be awarded, with 25 places allocated to students at the University of Zambia (UNZA) and another 25 available to students at Copperbelt University (CBU).
Applicants must be Zambian students who completed Grade 12 in 2022 or later and scored between 5 and 7 points at their first sitting. They must also be able to demonstrate financial need and must not be beneficiaries of another scholarship or fellowship.
Applicants must have secured admission for the 2026/2027 academic year.
The Airtel Africa Foundation will cover the fellowship costs, while the participating universities will be responsible for the selection and verification process.
Successful scholars will receive fully paid tuition fees and accommodation, alongside a monthly allowance. The scholarship package will also include a laptop computer and a monthly data allocation.
The application deadline is 9 October 2026.
