Zamtel has thrown its support behind the 2026 JETS and TETS Fair in Zambia, an initiative that provided a platform for young innovators from across the country to exhibit technology, science and STEM-based solutions.

The fair brought together participants across different stages of education, with exhibitors ranging from early childhood learners as young as five years old to students enrolled in tertiary institutions.

Projects presented at the event reflected the participants’ creativity and problem-solving abilities, while demonstrating how they applied their STEM knowledge and skills to develop various ideas and solutions.

The Guest of Honour, Dr. Kelvin Mambwe, Permanent Secretary for Educational Services, was represented at the event by Acting Director of Curriculum Development Petronella Malungisa. She commended the innovations showcased by the participating learners and students.

Organisers said the projects on display reflected the principles underpinning Zambia’s Competence-Based Curriculum, which seeks to equip learners with practical skills and competencies.

Zamtel said its involvement in the fair is consistent with its position as a digital enabler and its commitment to supporting young talent and promoting innovation.

The telecommunications company further stated that platforms such as the JETS and TETS Fair support national development by giving learners opportunities to engage with STEM and develop problem-solving skills.
