Young and emerging agripreneurs with innovative ideas in the cashew sector can apply for the latest e-MOVE funding opportunity by MOVE-ComCashew, with selected participants eligible for €2,000 in direct business funding or practical technology support.

The current submission window runs from September to October 2026 and is aimed at helping entrepreneurs transform ideas across the cashew value chain into investment-ready and climate-smart businesses.

Beyond the direct funding option, successful applicants may receive a laptop, tablet or software to strengthen their business operations.

e-MOVE is an initiative of MOVE-ComCashew, implemented by GIZ through its agricultural value-chain programmes. It combines free online learning with an opportunity for young and emerging cashew-sector entrepreneurs to develop and submit business ideas for potential support.

As part of the process, applicants are expected to apply knowledge gained from the e-MOVE courses to develop an AgriCanvas. The document is intended to outline their business model and show how their proposed venture can become investment-ready.

Selected winners may receive one of two kickstart prizes: €2,000 in direct funding to support their business, or a laptop, tablet or software package to improve business operations.

The programme is particularly interested in ideas capable of supporting climate-smart and resilient agricultural practices within the cashew value chain.

To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old, reside in a member state of the Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States (OACPS), and have an innovative agribusiness idea connected to any part of the cashew value chain.

Proposed ventures can address different areas of the cashew sector, provided the idea represents an innovative and viable business opportunity.

Applicants must first complete the required e-MOVE learning pathway before submitting their business ideas.

The application process begins with registration on the atingi learning platform or access to the dedicated e-MOVE landing page. The required courses are available free of charge.

Applicants are required to complete the mandatory e-MOVE courses, including Introduction to Conservation Agriculture and Creating an Investment-Ready Agribusiness.

After completing the required learning pathway, applicants receive a certificate ID, which must be provided as part of their submission.

The next stage requires applicants to develop an AgriCanvas using the Business Model Canvas template provided by the programme. The document should explain how the proposed cashew business will operate and generate revenue.

Applicants must also provide details of the project’s climate-smart or resilience component, revenue model and estimated capital required to launch or scale the business.

Once completed, the AgriCanvas must be entered directly into the official submission form. Applicants must provide a valid certificate ID as evidence that they completed the mandatory courses.

Only applications submitted through the official form will be considered.

Participation is free, with no application fee required. The mandatory e-learning courses are also free, while ComCashew states that participants will not be charged entry fees, subscription fees or hidden costs for taking part in the competition.

Applications will be evaluated according to the selection criteria contained in the programme’s official Terms and Conditions.

Each applicant may submit only one idea during a submission window. Those who are unsuccessful can refine their ideas and apply again during a future submission window.

Successful applicants from the current submission period are expected to be contacted by mid-December 2026.

Interested entrepreneurs should register on the e-MOVE learning platform, complete the mandatory courses, prepare their AgriCanvas and then submit the business idea through the official submission form.

The current submission window closes on October 30, 2026. Applicants are encouraged to complete the required courses early enough to allow adequate time to develop and submit their AgriCanvas before the deadline.
