Orange Egypt has selected three Egyptian startups to advance to the international stage of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) 2026 after they emerged as winners of the local competition in the programme’s 16th edition.
The development reflects Orange Egypt’s ongoing efforts to promote entrepreneurship and innovation by identifying promising startups, backing technology-driven ideas and creating opportunities for Egyptian entrepreneurs to compete at regional and international levels.
Now in its 16th year, the OSVP has developed into one of Orange’s major initiatives across Africa and the Middle East for identifying startups that apply innovation and technology to social and environmental challenges. The programme also promotes entrepreneurship as a driver of economic growth and youth empowerment.
As part of the support available to the winning startups, they will gain access to Orange’s technology-enabled business solutions. These resources are designed to help improve operational efficiency, strengthen business development and prepare the ventures for their next stage of growth.
“The Orange Social Venture Prize is one of the initiatives that reflects Orange’s long-standing commitment to supporting young people and entrepreneurship. At Orange Egypt, we firmly believe that Egyptian youth possess the ambition, capabilities, and ideas needed to build companies capable of competing both locally and internationally. As a private-sector player, it is our responsibility to help unlock this potential by providing access to the opportunities, tools, and expertise needed to turn ideas into successful and scalable ventures.”
– Maha Nagy, Chief Communication Officer, Orange Egypt
Nagy said the Egyptian startups’ progression to the international competition demonstrates the continued development of the country’s entrepreneurship ecosystem and the capacity of local entrepreneurs to create solutions that meet global standards.
She also said Orange Egypt would maintain its support for programmes designed to equip young entrepreneurs with the expertise, tools and confidence needed to turn their ideas into viable businesses.
The local OSVP competition selected Extractor Co., Deaf Gain and P-Vita as the three Egyptian winners. They will represent Egypt at the international stage alongside startups chosen from other countries in Africa and the Middle East where Orange operates.
Noor was separately recognised with the Women’s Prize, an award supporting women-led startups. The company will also proceed to the international competition, highlighting efforts to expand opportunities for women entrepreneurs within the innovation ecosystem.
At the international level, the Egyptian finalists will compete for a total prize pool of €70,000. Beyond the financial award, the global competition will provide participating startups with opportunities to build networks, gain access to expertise and explore new markets.
Through the OSVP and its broader entrepreneurship programmes, Orange Egypt continues to support young talent and startups while providing avenues for Egyptian innovations to expand beyond the domestic market.
