Applications are now open for the IBM SkillsBuild Fully Funded Digital Skills Scholarship 2026, a programme organised by YASIF Nigeria in partnership with IBM to help young people acquire practical digital skills.
The initiative provides free, self-paced online training alongside IBM-recognized certificates. It is designed to help participants develop in-demand capabilities, strengthen their employability and prepare for career opportunities within the digital economy.
Applicants can choose from a range of digital and professional development training areas. These include Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Science and Data Management, Entrepreneurship and Startups, Digital and Social Media Marketing, Communication and Public Speaking, Leadership and Empowerment, Career Development and Employability, as well as Project Planning.
Successful participants will have access to free, self-paced digital skills training and IBM-recognized certificates. The programme also provides opportunities for job and internship placement, practical knowledge in emerging digital and business skills, and training aimed at improving career readiness and employability.
The scholarship is targeted at young people interested in building digital, entrepreneurial and professional skills. Applicants can select training areas that correspond with their career goals and interests.
The programme is delivered entirely online and follows a self-paced format, allowing participants to complete their training at their convenience. The training fee is 100% free, while the programme is currently identified as Cohort 8.
