The organisation is seeking candidates who have previously volunteered with Greenvest Environmental Initiative and possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development or a closely related discipline.
Applicants must demonstrate strong communication, coordination and relationship-building skills. They should also be proactive, innovative and capable of working with minimal supervision, with experience in project planning, implementation, reporting and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will coordinate partnerships, oversee state-level programmes and support the organisation’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities include identifying opportunities for local and international partnerships, developing programme ideas, planning and implementing activities, coordinating events and preparing reports on state-level initiatives.
The State Program Officer will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The appointee will also work closely with the COO to identify and pursue grant opportunities, mobilise resources and develop sustainable funding streams for the organisation.
Additional duties include representing Greenvest Environmental Initiative at state-level meetings, stakeholder engagements and strategic events, while contributing to the achievement of its broader strategic goals and programme objectives.
The position is paid, with remuneration to be negotiated with the successful candidate based on qualifications, professional experience and the organisation’s compensation policy.
Eligible former volunteers are required to submit an Expression of Interest of no more than one page, explaining their suitability for the role, alongside an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
Applications should be submitted through the organisation’s careers page. However, the announcement does not specify a closing date, as the stated deadline remains a placeholder.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
Greenvest Environmental Initiative describes itself as an equal opportunity organisation committed to sustainable development, climate resilience, environmental conservation and inclusive community development. It encourages qualified former volunteers who meet the requirements to apply.
