FirstBank of Nigeria Limited is set to hold the third-quarter edition of its SMEConnect Webinar on September 9, 2026, with the programme focused on helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) strengthen customer acquisition, improve sales conversion and increase revenue.
The webinar, themed “The SME Growth Blueprint: Practical Sales Strategies to Win Customers and Boost Revenue,” is designed to give entrepreneurs practical approaches to attracting customers, driving sales and developing sustainable businesses.
The initiative is organised under FirstBank’s “You First” brand promise. Through SMEConnect, the bank provides a capacity-building platform where business owners can gain practical knowledge, market insights, as well as financial and advisory support.
FirstBank said the upcoming session will tackle some of the major difficulties businesses encounter when trying to turn market opportunities into sustainable revenue.
Participants will receive insights on improving brand visibility, attracting and retaining customers, strengthening sales processes, raising conversion rates and developing lasting customer loyalty.
The session will feature Helen Mojisola Ijaola, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Bags Warehouse; Onome Gbenga-Adewara, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mamalicious Products Nigeria; and Olusola Ogunsakin, Group Head, Retail Banking Group, FirstBank.
Helen A. Willie, Head, SME Banking, FirstBank, will host the webinar, while Olajumoke Moyo-Ladipo, Team Lead, SME Engagement & Advisory, FirstBank, will serve as moderator.
Ahead of the event, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive, e-Business and Retail Products, FirstBank, said a number of SMEs have strong products and services but do not have the practical sales strategies required to fully realise their growth potential.
He said the webinar would enable entrepreneurs to learn from business leaders who have successfully established and expanded their enterprises.
“Growth is not accidental; it is driven by the ability of businesses to create value, win customers, and convert opportunities into sustainable revenue,” Ezirim said.
He added that FirstBank intends to use programmes such as SMEConnect to provide businesses with the knowledge, capacity and support they need to expand, create employment opportunities and contribute to Nigeria’s economic development.
For many small businesses, maintaining a steady flow of new customers and turning customer interest into actual sales remains essential to survival and expansion. The webinar’s emphasis on practical sales strategies comes as SMEs continue to seek ways to increase revenue while developing stronger relationships with their customers.
In addition to its capacity-building programmes, FirstBank said it continues to support SMEs with tailored financial products and services, including SME loans, digital banking platforms and advisory services.
The bank said these solutions are intended to help businesses formalise their operations, gain access to financing, enhance their business processes and pursue opportunities in new markets.
Entrepreneurs interested in participating can register for the SMEConnect Webinar through the FirstBank webinar registration page.
The SMEConnect series is part of FirstBank’s wider efforts to establish the bank as a growth partner for entrepreneurs by combining access to finance with business knowledge and advisory support.
