DHL Express has introduced Domestic Select, a new domestic delivery service aimed at giving businesses and individuals across Nigeria a more affordable and reliable option for shipping less urgent parcels.
The launch comes as domestic trade, entrepreneurship and e-commerce continue to expand, increasing demand for logistics services that can support the movement of goods and customer orders across the country.
Country Manager, DHL Express Nigeria, Muyiwa Adeseyoju, said the continued growth of online commerce and domestic trade has created a stronger need for logistics solutions that allow businesses to reach customers beyond their immediate locations.
“As Nigeria’s domestic trade, entrepreneurship, and e-commerce sectors continue to grow, businesses are increasingly looking for logistics solutions that enable them to serve customers beyond their immediate location,” Adeseyoju said.
He explained that Domestic Select was introduced to address this need by offering a dependable shipping option for consignments that do not require urgent delivery.
The service is expected to benefit small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), online retailers and entrepreneurs who need to fulfil customer orders or expand their operations into new Nigerian markets.
According to Adeseyoju, Domestic Select provides greater flexibility for customers moving less time-sensitive parcels while allowing them to benefit from DHL Express’ operational network and logistics expertise.
He also noted that the expansion of digital commerce has made it possible for Nigerian businesses to serve customers outside their traditional markets, increasing the importance of dependable domestic delivery to business growth and customer satisfaction.
For SMEs and online businesses, reliable delivery services can enable them to serve customers across different parts of Nigeria rather than restricting sales to their immediate locations.
“By combining DHL’s trusted network and operational expertise with a solution tailored to local needs, we are making domestic shipping more accessible for businesses and individuals across Nigeria,” Adeseyoju said.
He added that the introduction of Domestic Select further demonstrated DHL Express’ commitment to facilitating trade and contributing to economic growth across the region.
