Network launches regional acquiring platform across GCC markets

Network International, a leading fintech company operating across the Middle East and Africa, has introduced a regional acquiring capability designed to allow merchants to accept payments across GCC markets through a single integration.

The launch represents a move towards a more connected regional payments ecosystem and supports Network’s “one integration, multiple markets” approach.

The GCC’s growing importance as a centre for trade, tourism, innovation and digital commerce is prompting businesses to expand beyond their domestic markets and serve customers across the region. However, this expansion has created demand for payment infrastructure that can support cross-border commerce without requiring merchants to manage several payment providers, technology integrations and operational systems.

Economic growth, rising cross-border trade, strong tourism activity and rapid digital adoption are driving merchants across sectors to pursue opportunities throughout the GCC. Yet, fragmented payment infrastructure remains a challenge for many businesses, with separate acquiring relationships, technology integrations, operational procedures and reporting arrangements often required in individual markets.

According to Network, such fragmentation can increase costs, extend deployment timelines and add operational complexity, potentially slowing businesses seeking to expand regionally.

Network’s new GCC payment operations are intended to address these challenges by providing a unified acquiring platform for merchants in retail, e-commerce, hospitality, travel and services.

Through one integration, businesses can gain access to multiple GCC markets while using centralised reporting, simplified reconciliation and a consistent payment acceptance experience. The approach reduces the need for businesses to maintain multiple integrations and payment partnerships across the region, allowing them to streamline operations and accelerate expansion.

The platform also provides merchants with opportunities to reach customers across GCC markets through locally optimised payment acceptance. Network said businesses can enter new markets more quickly, enhance customer experience, improve transaction conversion and participate more effectively in the region’s rapidly expanding digital commerce environment.

“Commerce in the GCC is increasingly regional, yet payments remain fragmented across markets. At Network International, we believe merchants should be able to expand across the region as easily as they operate within their home market. Our solution is a significant step towards that vision. Through single integration, merchants can access multiple GCC markets, unlock new revenue opportunities, and reduce the operational complexity that often accompanies regional expansion. More importantly, we are building the foundations of a connected payments ecosystem that enables businesses of all sizes to participate more effectively in the GCC’s digital economy. As regional commerce continues to evolve, our role is to provide the infrastructure that helps merchants grow without borders.”

Murat Cagri Suzer, Group Chief Executive Officer, Network International

The launch also reinforces Network’s position as the region’s preferred commerce partner, bringing together local market expertise, regulatory knowledge and scalable technology to support businesses operating across the GCC.

Demand for cross-border payment solutions has increased alongside the rapid expansion of the GCC digital economy. The UAE also strengthened its role in global trade, ranking ninth worldwide in 2025, according to the World Trade Organisation’s World Trade Outlook and Statistics report.

By enabling smoother transaction flows between the UAE and other GCC markets, Network is seeking to strengthen the competitiveness of UAE-based enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and digital-first businesses within the regional economy.
