RockPay launches digital finance platform for payments

Financial technology company RockPay has launched its digital finance platform in Nigeria, bringing payment, business and fundraising services together in one digital ecosystem for individuals, businesses and communities.

The platform is designed to support everyday financial activities through features such as peer-to-peer transfers, payment requests, QR code payments, payment links and searchable business profiles.

RockPay has also introduced a donation and fundraising feature that allows users to raise money for personal needs and community initiatives.

Francis Osaji, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RockPay, said the platform was created in response to financial challenges encountered by Nigerians in their daily activities.

“RockPay was built to connect businesses with customers, simplify digital payments, and make it easier for people to raise money for the things that matter most,” Osaji said.

He explained that RockPay’s objective was to make accepting payments, supporting causes and expanding businesses as straightforward and accessible as using social media.

According to Osaji, the platform addresses the increasing demand for a more connected financial experience by reducing users’ dependence on several applications for payments, fundraising and business-related transactions.

Businesses using RockPay can establish searchable profiles, receive payments through QR codes and payment links, and increase their visibility to prospective customers.

The platform also provides individuals and communities with fundraising campaigns through its donation feature. According to the company, the feature can support financial needs including school fees, medical expenses and community projects.

“RockPay is more than a payment app; it is a complete solution provider built essentially to help small businesses grow, socialise, give them real market visibility, and raise funds with ease,” Osaji said.

He added that RockPay was built to support business owners who want quicker methods of accepting payments and improving their visibility, while also serving individuals seeking to raise money through the platform’s donation feature.

The launch comes as digital payment solutions continue to gain adoption in Nigeria, with businesses and consumers increasingly turning to technology for routine financial transactions.

RockPay said bringing payment services, business discovery and fundraising capabilities together is intended to provide users across different segments with a more integrated digital finance experience.
