The Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP) has introduced C.L.I.C.K.D. (Credit for Laptops, Internet, Connectivity & Knowledge Devices), a flagship initiative designed to help eligible working Nigerians purchase digital devices through affordable consumer credit.
The programme was launched in partnership with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy and the 3 Million Technical Talent (3MTT) programme.
Under the initiative, eligible applicants can access flexible credit to acquire digital tools, including laptops, smartphones, tablets and connectivity devices, with repayment plans designed to make technology more affordable. The programme also prioritises locally assembled devices where applicable.
How to apply for C.L.I.C.K.D.
Interested applicants can apply by following these steps:
- Visit the dedicated C.L.I.C.K.D. application page.
- Click the “I’m Interested” button or the application link.
- Complete the application process by:
- Providing personal information.
- Entering employment and income details.
- Supplying a National Identification Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN).
- Stating the purpose for requesting the device, such as learning, work or business.
- Complete any required verification procedures, including face capture where applicable.
- Submit the expression of interest.
Once submitted, applications are forwarded to participating financial institutions, including Fidelity Bank during the initial phase, for review, approval and loan disbursement.
Eligibility
Applications are currently open to eligible working Nigerians.
The pilot phase primarily targets 3MTT fellows and similar groups seeking access to locally assembled laptops. The programme is expected to expand nationwide in subsequent phases.
Generally, applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
- Stable source of income.
- Verifiable identity.
- Demonstrated repayment capacity.
- Additional pilot-specific criteria, including participation in programmes such as 3MTT where applicable.
Programme partners
Consumer credit under the initiative is provided through approved financial institutions, while devices are supplied through partners, including NASENI and Imose Technologies.
