Applications are open for the 2027 World Economic Forum (WEF) Technology Pioneers Program, which will recognise 100 innovative early-stage companies developing technologies with the potential to deliver significant, long-term benefits to society and the planet.
Selected companies will join a global innovation community and engage with leaders from business, government and other sectors over a two-year period.
To qualify, applicants must meet specific eligibility requirements. Companies must have developed and brought to market a genuinely innovative technology or business model capable of creating a significant, long-term positive impact on society or the planet.
Eligible businesses must also have secured at least US$10 million in Series A funding, be less than 10 years old, and operate as independent, privately held companies.
Successful applicants will gain opportunities to engage with influential political, business and cultural leaders, participate in global meetings, workshops and Forum events, and attend tailored gatherings for members of the Innovator Communities.
The programme will also enable selected companies to contribute to discussions and initiatives addressing challenges affecting society and the planet, while building relationships with an international network of innovative businesses.
Chief executive officers of selected companies must commit at least five hours per quarter to engaging with the Forum. They are also required to attend at least one global event annually throughout their two-year tenure.
The initiative offers innovative startups a platform to connect with global stakeholders, participate in conversations about major societal and environmental challenges, and become part of an international innovation network.
