Applications have opened for Pitch Perfect Africa 2026, a pitch competition designed to support entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions to health challenges across Africa.
Now in its second year, the programme gives early-stage ventures an opportunity to present their innovations, access funding and improve their investment readiness through a competitive pitching process.
Pitch Perfect Africa 2026 is specifically open to eligible H2i Level 2 ventures. Six ventures will be selected to pitch their innovations before a panel of expert judges.
Three winning ventures will each receive a CAD $5,000 Innovation Fellowship.
Beyond the fellowship opportunity, participants will have the chance to pitch their innovations to expert judges, strengthen their pitching and investment-readiness skills and take part in a Building a Winning Pitch Masterclass.
The programme will also provide access to a market research workshop, exposure within the African health innovation ecosystem, and opportunities to connect with other entrepreneurs and potential ecosystem partners.
To qualify, applicants must be current H2i Level 2 HENT ventures and must have been onboarded by their lead mentor by August 31, 2026.
Applicants must also be at the Discovery stage of H2i’s four-level venture development model and must not have previously won Pitch Perfect Africa.
Past finalists who did not win are eligible to reapply.
Pitch Perfect was established to give early-stage H2i ventures access to funding and pitching opportunities while helping founders build the capabilities needed to become more investment-ready.
The programme expanded to H2i’s African venture community in 2025 and continues to support entrepreneurs developing health-focused innovations across the continent.
The application deadline is September 29, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time. The Building a Winning Pitch Masterclass is scheduled for October 9, 2026, while the Pitch Competition will take place on November 16, 2026.
The date and details for the Market Research Workshop will be announced later.
The pitch competition will be held virtually.
