Oilserv invites applications for 2027 graduate trainee programme

Applications are now open for the 2027 Oilserv Ingenious Graduate Trainee Programme, a two-year development programme designed to prepare graduates for professional careers in the energy sector.

The programme combines structured learning, innovation and practical experience, giving trainees exposure to the evolving energy industry. Participants will undergo an intensive induction and take part in hands-on projects aimed at developing both technical expertise and strategic thinking.

According to the programme information, trainees will be developed as problem-solvers, innovators and future leaders, with the training focused on equipping them with skills relevant to the changing oil and gas landscape in Africa.

Participants will also receive mentorship from experienced professionals as they build their knowledge, confidence and professional capabilities. The programme further emphasises technical training, leadership development and responsible decision-making.

Oilserv said the initiative is designed not only to support career development but also to prepare graduates to make an impact within the industry.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Hold a Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in Engineering, including Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Petroleum, Civil, Pipeline, Piping or Process Engineering; Accounting; Technical Safety; ESG; or other relevant disciplines from a recognised institution.
  2. Have a minimum of Second-Class Lower (2:2).
  3. Have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme.
  4. Be team-oriented and demonstrate a passion for learning and professional growth.
  5. No prior full-time work experience is required.

The application deadline is 10th October 2026.
