As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and social impact commitment to youth empowerment, digital inclusion and developing the next generation of innovators, NATCOM Development & Investment Limited (trading as ntel) hosted ICT students from Ireti Senior Secondary School, Falomo Senior High School and Bethesda School for the Blind under the Afri Edu Tech Programme.
The initiative featured an interactive Career Talk designed to provide secondary school students with career guidance, practical knowledge and valuable insights into opportunities in the technology sector.
During the session, students were encouraged to identify their potential, embrace innovation and digital skills, and build the confidence needed to become future leaders, creators and problem-solvers.
The programme also created an opportunity for direct engagement between the students and ntel’s leadership team, fostering discussions on innovation, career development, technology and emerging opportunities available to young Nigerians.
Among the executives who shared their experiences were Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Soji Maurice-Diya; Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director, Afolabi Oladunjoye; Chief Technical Consultant, Kingsley Uwazie; Head of Corporate Communications & Sustainability, Ariyike Akinbobola; and Head of People & Culture, Ojini Amida.
The executives encouraged participants to remain curious, pursue continuous learning and embrace innovation as they prepare for the future of work.
One of the highlights of the event was the presentation of technology prototypes developed by the students. The ntel leadership team engaged them in discussions about their projects, offered constructive feedback and encouraged them to continue improving their innovations into solutions capable of delivering meaningful impact.
Speaking during the programme, Managing Director/CEO Soji Maurice-Diya reaffirmed the company’s belief that investing in young people is fundamental to building Nigeria’s digital future.
The initiative reflects ntel’s ongoing social impact and CSR commitment to empowering young people with knowledge, promoting digital inclusion and creating opportunities that inspire the next generation to lead, innovate and thrive.
As the company continues to advance The Next Frontier, ntel says it remains committed to connecting people, enabling innovation and creating lasting social impact by building a future where every young Nigerian has the opportunity to realise their potential.
