Deloitte Academy opens applications for 2026 cyber security programme for Nigerian graduates

  1. The Deloitte Academy has announced the commencement of applications for its 2026 Cyber Security Programme, inviting qualified young Nigerian graduates to apply before the July 17, 2026 deadline.

Designed as a capacity-building initiative, the programme aims to develop the next generation of professionals capable of taking advantage of emerging opportunities within the Cyber Security and Information Technology sectors.

According to the organisers, the initiative is strictly a skills development programme and should not be regarded as a recruitment exercise.

The academy stated that the programme is intended to equip and empower participants with the technical knowledge and practical expertise needed to address current and future cybersecurity challenges.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the programme:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc., B.A., or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline with a minimum of Second Class Upper/Upper Credit.
  • Have at least five credits in WASSCE Ordinary Level/NECO or an equivalent examination, including Mathematics and English Language, obtained in one sitting only.
  • Be 28 years old or younger at the time of application.
  • Demonstrate the ability to think creatively and learn new concepts independently.
  • Possession of a cybersecurity-related certification will be an added advantage.
  • Have knowledge of Information Technology, including operating systems, networks, or application development.
  • Possess knowledge of IT systems covering operating systems, applications, networks, and databases.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Additional knowledge in areas such as vulnerability assessment and penetration testing, implementation of security standards, security operations, network monitoring, incident response, incident investigation, email security, security analytics, and the deployment or management of security tools including SIEM, NAC, DAM, WAF, NGFW, and UTM will be considered an advantage.

Programme Duration

The Deloitte Academy Cyber Security Programme will run for 12 months.
