Skill RESET Nigeria opens applications for free digital training

Skill RESET Nigeria has commenced applications for its 2026 free digital skills training programme, giving Nigerians an opportunity to develop practical digital competencies and improve their career prospects without paying tuition fees.

The initiative, established by the Seyi Makinde Foundation and powered by Learnploy, seeks to prepare Nigerians for opportunities in the digital economy. Its long-term ambition is to equip one million people across the country with relevant digital skills.

Residents of all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) are eligible to apply.

Applicants can select from six training areas:

  • Digital Skills and Workplace Productivity

  • Data Analysis with AI

  • AI Tools and Automation

  • Digital Marketing for Business

  • Content Creation with AI

  • Sales and Customer Experience

The courses are structured to accommodate beginners, meaning applicants do not need prior technical knowledge or experience to enrol in beginner-level training.

Participants selected for the programme will receive free digital skills training, alongside access to practical lessons, projects and assessments.

Those who successfully meet the programme requirements will also receive certification. Additional benefits include career support and access to job, internship and freelance opportunities.

Learning will be available through flexible arrangements, including online training and guided sessions at designated state hubs.

Eligible participants may also receive device and data assistance, depending on available funding and selection criteria.

However, the programme does not guarantee employment. Its career support component is intended to connect participants with relevant opportunities.

Eligibility Requirements

The training is open to Nigerians living in any of the country’s 36 states or the FCT.

Students, graduates, job seekers, entrepreneurs and working professionals interested in developing their digital skills are encouraged to apply.

All applications will undergo an eligibility screening process before admission decisions are made.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is November 8, 2026.

How to Apply

Interested and eligible Nigerians can apply by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official application portal: https://www.skillresetnigeria.com/apply/

  2. Enter the required personal information, educational background and location.

  3. Select a preferred digital skills training track.

  4. Choose between online self-paced learning and guided training sessions at a designated state hub.

  5. Provide details about available learning devices, internet access and any additional support required.

  6. Review the submitted information and complete the application.

Applicants who are offered admission will receive their decisions and instructions for accessing the Learnploy learning platform through email and WhatsApp.
