Fasilat Alafe Foundation seeks remote social media volunteers to help

The Fasilat Alafe Foundation is inviting applications from volunteers interested in supporting its digital communications and online storytelling through a remote, part-time Social Media Volunteer role.

The opportunity is designed for individuals passionate about social impact and digital content who want to contribute to the foundation’s work remotely. Successful volunteers will collaborate with the Communications Officer to share the organisation’s activities and stories across its social media platforms.

Responsibilities include creating graphic and written content for Instagram, Twitter/X, Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as scheduling and publishing posts in line with the content calendar. Volunteers will also monitor comments, engage with online audiences and prepare monthly reports on key engagement metrics.

The role further involves assisting with the development of campaign materials for fundraising activities and public awareness drives.

Applicants should be familiar with major social media platforms, possess basic graphic design skills using Canva or similar tools, and demonstrate good written English and an eye for visual presentation. Candidates must be able to commit at least four hours per week.

Previous experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organisation is an added advantage. Video editing skills and an interest in public health and community welfare are also desirable.

Interested candidates are required to complete the foundation’s volunteer registration form and provide information about themselves. The organisation stated that it would contact applicants when it is ready to mobilise volunteers.

Interested applicants can express their interest through the Fasilat Alafe Foundation volunteer page or complete the volunteer registration form.
