100x Impact Accelerator opens applications with £150,000 in funding

Applications are open for the 2027/2028 edition of the 100x Impact Accelerator, a global programme offering £150,000 in catalytic funding and strategic support to social impact organisations seeking to reach hundreds of millions of people.

Based at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), the accelerator supports social ventures with proven models and the potential to drive large-scale change across communities, markets and systems. Successful applicants will also gain access to research expertise and a global network of funders, advisers and fellow impact leaders.

The programme is designed to help social enterprises and other impact-driven organisations overcome challenges associated with securing the funding, expertise and partnerships required to expand their reach. It combines financial support with strategic guidance and research resources to help eligible ventures strengthen their operations and scale their solutions.

Eligibility requirements

The opportunity is open to nonprofit and for-profit social impact organisations operating anywhere in the world. However, applicants must demonstrate an established model, measurable impact and a credible plan for reaching significantly more people.

Eligible organisations must have an explicit social or environmental mission and evidence that their solutions have progressed beyond the idea stage and are already generating positive impact.

Applicants must also demonstrate a minimum level of reach. Ventures delivering directly to consumers through business-to-consumer (B2C) channels must have reached at least 10,000 end users. Organisations operating through business-to-business (B2B) or business-to-government (B2G) channels must have indirectly impacted at least 100,000 people.

Additionally, applicants must have a team comprising at least four full-time paid employees and present an ambitious but credible strategy for reaching hundreds of millions of people.

Proposed growth pathways may include replicating successful models, developing open infrastructure, transforming markets or integrating solutions into public or private delivery systems.

The accelerator prioritises ventures capable of driving systems-level change rather than organisations whose impact remains limited to a small scale.

Funding and programme benefits

Selected organisations will receive £150,000 in catalytic funding to support their growth and expansion. They will also participate in a tailored 16-week accelerator programme focused on strengthening funding strategies, impact measurement and leadership capacity.

Other benefits include long-term strategic support to help ventures establish sustainable growth pathways and access to LSE research expertise for evidence-based decision-making and impact development.

Participants will have opportunities to connect with funders, advisers, potential partners and other social impact organisations through the programme’s global network. Selected ventures may also qualify for follow-on funding, subject to suitability and the availability of funds.

The accelerator will cover the costs for up to two team members from each selected organisation to attend the opening week in person at the London School of Economics and the final pitch day.

Priority impact areas

The 100x Impact Accelerator is seeking organisations working in at least one of eight impact areas:

  • Climate and Environment

  • Democracy

  • Happiness and Wellbeing

  • Education

  • Equitable Economies

  • Health and Social Care

  • New Frontiers

  • Refugees and Cohesion

Applicants are expected to demonstrate how their solutions address significant social or environmental challenges and have the potential to create lasting change.

How to apply

Eligible social impact organisations can begin the application process through the official portal:

Apply for the 100x Impact Accelerator 2027/2028

Interested organisations should review the eligibility requirements and ensure their applications demonstrate their existing impact, organisational capacity and potential to reach hundreds of millions of people.
