ITF, Enugu agency launch free artisan training for 700 people

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and the Enugu MSME & Startup Agency have launched a free vocational training programme targeting 700 existing and aspiring artisans across Enugu State.

The SUPA-ITF Enugu Artisan Skills Accelerator will provide practical training in building construction, fashion, information and communication technology (ICT), automotive services and hospitality, preparing participants for employment, apprenticeships and self-employment.

Under the initiative, 700 beneficiaries will be selected through a competitive process and trained at accredited centres and by industry partners across the state.

The programme aims to strengthen participants’ technical skills, improve productivity and prepare them for opportunities in skilled employment and enterprise development.

Beyond vocational instruction, the initiative is designed to support beneficiaries’ long-term career progression and business growth while expanding Enugu State’s skilled artisan workforce.

By equipping existing and aspiring artisans with practical, industry-relevant skills, the programme seeks to create pathways for participants to secure jobs, establish businesses and improve their prospects in the labour market.
