Dangote Foundation offers eligible Nigerian students extra IPO shares

The Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has introduced a Share Grant Initiative designed to promote financial inclusion and encourage savings and investment among students in public and private tertiary institutions across Nigeria.

The initiative allows eligible undergraduate students aged 18 and above to apply for shares in the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE.

Students who complete the required verification and purchase at least 10 shares through the designated student subscription channel may qualify for an additional 10 shares funded by the foundation at no cost.

However, the extra shares are not guaranteed. Any allocation will depend on the IPO terms and the applicable allotment process.

Each eligible student can receive a maximum of 10 additional shares, regardless of the number of shares purchased personally. Applicants must pay for at least 10 shares themselves to qualify for consideration.

Who can apply?

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be enrolled in a recognised public or private tertiary institution in Nigeria.
  • Attend an eligible university, polytechnic, college of education or another recognised tertiary institution.
  • Not be a postgraduate student.
  • Complete the required student verification and Know Your Customer (KYC) process.
  • Apply for and pay for at least 10 shares through the designated subscription channel.

How to apply

Interested students can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official ADF Share Grant Initiative portal.
  2. Select the student application option and provide the required personal and academic information.
  3. Complete the student verification process.
  4. Proceed to the designated IPO subscription platform.
  5. Submit the required KYC information.
  6. Apply for and pay for a minimum of 10 shares.

Applicants should review the official programme requirements and IPO terms before subscribing. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee an allocation of the additional shares.
