Moniepoint Inc. has entered into a partnership with the African Leadership University (ALU) School of Business to introduce a 13-week executive development programme designed to strengthen its leadership pipeline while contributing to the growth of Nigeria’s digital economy.
The financial technology company said the executive education initiative is structured to equip its managers with advanced leadership capabilities, strategic management expertise and data-driven decision-making skills required to support large-scale digital transformation.
According to Moniepoint, the programme blends physical immersion sessions, live virtual classes and self-paced learning. Participants will complete two specialised learning tracks covering Strategic Management and Leadership, as well as Data-Driven Decision-Making.
Group Chief Executive Officer of Moniepoint Inc., Tosin Eniolorunda, said the initiative demonstrates the company’s long-term commitment to developing world-class leaders who can sustain innovation and deepen financial inclusion across Africa.
“We consider it a huge privilege, given our market leadership, to drive the empowerment of bold, transformational professionals for the financial services industry. Execution is everything in this game, and execution is a leadership problem before it’s anything else.
If we want Nigeria’s digital economy to compete globally, we can’t outsource the people who run it; we have to build them deliberately here. In creating financial happiness for Africans everywhere, the leaders who come through this programme will be the ones who decide whether Moniepoint’s infrastructure actually reaches the small business owner in Onitsha or Kano the way it’s supposed to,” Eniolorunda said.
Eniolorunda also stressed that continued investment in people remains essential as the company broadens its digital financial services offerings.
“The ecosystem’s growth is inseparable from the strength of the people who lead it. Moniepoint’s own meteoric growth stems from a dedicated focus on building critical digital infrastructure that powers millions of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. In an industry where technological disruption is continuous and competition is intensifying, this investment in human capital is non-negotiable in building a resilient leadership ecosystem,” Eniolorunda said.
Moniepoint explained that the executive programme aligns with Nigeria’s digital economy agenda by integrating technical expertise, human-centred leadership and data fluency to prepare managers for emerging industry challenges.
The curriculum will be delivered by faculty members from the African Leadership University, including Dr Olugbenga Afolabi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Hazon Holdings and founder of the Eko Innovation Centre, alongside Dr Omowale Crenshaw, co-founder of Grupo Mecca Colombia and former McKinsey consultant.
The company noted that the partnership is expected to strengthen managers’ competencies in leadership, communication and evidence-based decision-making while reinforcing environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles across its operations.
Moniepoint added that building stronger internal leadership capacity will further support its efforts to expand access to financial services for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and individuals, while advancing Nigeria’s financial inclusion agenda
