FirstBank has announced it will hold the third-quarter edition of its SMEConnect Webinar on September 9, 2026, focusing on helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) strengthen their sales performance and build sustainable businesses.
The webinar, titled “The SME Growth Blueprint: Practical Sales Strategies to Win Customers and Boost Revenue,” forms part of FirstBank’s broader capacity-building efforts for entrepreneurs. The initiative is designed to help business owners tackle challenges affecting growth and competitiveness.
The session is anchored on the bank’s “You First” brand promise and will provide participants with practical business knowledge, market insights, as well as access to financial and advisory solutions tailored to their needs.
Participants will be exposed to strategies for strengthening brand visibility, attracting and retaining customers, improving sales conversion and developing customer loyalty. These areas are expected to support the wider objective of achieving sustainable business growth.
The webinar will bring together Helen Mojisola Ijaola, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Bags Warehouse; Onome Gbenga-Adewara, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mamalicious Products Nigeria; and Olusola Ogunsakin, Group Head, Retail Banking Group, FirstBank.
Helen A. Willie, Head, SME Banking, FirstBank, will host the programme, while Olajumoke Moyo-Ladipo, Team Lead, SME Engagement & Advisory, FirstBank, will moderate the session.
Ahead of the event, Chuma Ezirim, Group Executive, e-Business and Retail Products, FirstBank, said having effective sales strategies was essential for SMEs seeking to turn business opportunities into sustainable revenue.
According to Ezirim, many SMEs already have strong products and services but need practical sales approaches to fully unlock their growth potential. He said FirstBank’s SMEConnect platform was created in part to address this need by connecting entrepreneurs with insights from business leaders who have successfully built and scaled enterprises.
Ezirim added that the bank’s capacity-building programmes form part of its commitment to providing SMEs with the knowledge, skills and support required to accelerate growth, create employment opportunities and contribute to Nigeria’s economy.
SMEConnect is among FirstBank’s initiatives aimed at supporting SMEs beyond conventional financial services. Through the platform, business owners can access advisory resources, seminars, webinars, business tools and information intended to strengthen their operations and help them scale their enterprises.
