Young entrepreneurs in Ghana’s agricultural sector have an opportunity to secure grant funding through the BRIDGE-in Agriculture Pitch Competition 2026, which offers a total of $10,000 to support business development and expansion.
The competition targets young business owners running revenue-generating enterprises in agriculture and related sectors. It aims to strengthen businesses, encourage job creation and help young entrepreneurs build sustainable ventures.
Funded by the Mastercard Foundation, the BRIDGE-in Agriculture initiative is implemented in partnership with CrossBoundary Advisory and ASH Africa. The programme also seeks to widen economic opportunities for young people, with particular attention to women and persons with disabilities.
The competition will award grants to three successful applicants. The first-place winner will receive $5,000, the second-place winner $3,000, and the third-place winner $2,000.
Successful applicants can use the funding for working capital, equipment purchases or business expansion, subject to the programme’s grant conditions. However, submitting an application does not guarantee funding, as the grants are awarded through a competitive process.
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and operate a business within the agricultural value chain or a related sector. Their businesses must already generate revenue, and applicants must have a clear, impact-oriented action plan outlining their growth objectives and expected results.
The competition focuses on Ghana’s agricultural sector. Prospective applicants should confirm their geographic eligibility and other requirements through the official application form before submitting their entries.
Eligible businesses may operate in agricultural production, processing, storage, distribution or other services connected to the sector, subject to the organisers’ eligibility rules. The initiative aims to help enterprises grow, generate employment and create economic opportunities within their communities.
Women entrepreneurs and persons with disabilities are among the groups the broader BRIDGE-in Agriculture initiative seeks to support.
Applicants are encouraged to prepare a clear explanation of their business models, including their products or services, target customers and revenue sources. They should also identify their funding requirements and explain how the grant would support operational improvements, increased sales or expansion.
A realistic growth plan demonstrating the potential for job creation or other measurable benefits may help applicants communicate their business objectives. Entrepreneurs should also review the application requirements carefully and ensure that all requested information and documents are provided. These preparation tips are not a confirmed official scoring rubric.
The application deadline is November 9, 2026, at 23:59 GMT. According to the competition information, only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
Eligible young entrepreneurs can apply through the official BRIDGE-in Agriculture Pitch Competition application form.
