Growtech West Africa partners NADF ahead of Lagos debut in 2027

Growtech West Africa has partnered with the National Agricultural Development Fund (NADF) ahead of its inaugural agricultural exhibition in Lagos, as stakeholders seek to improve access to technology, investment and expertise across Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

The collaboration will link Growtech’s international network of agricultural businesses, technology providers and industry experts with NADF’s efforts to expand access to agricultural finance, improve productivity and strengthen food security in Nigeria.

NADF Executive Secretary and Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed A. Ibrahim, said transforming the country’s agricultural sector requires closer collaboration between financing institutions, technology providers, experts and businesses to generate greater value.

“Events such as Growtech West Africa can help connect Nigerian businesses and agricultural enterprises with technologies, knowledge, and international expertise that can improve productivity, strengthen value chains, and create new economic opportunities. NADF is pleased to support the event as part of our commitment to collaboration that expands opportunity, strengthens the agricultural sector, and contributes to a more resilient and prosperous food system.”

The partnership comes as agricultural businesses across Nigeria explore ways to improve operational efficiency, increase production and adapt to changing demands across the food system.

Technologies and investment are becoming increasingly important across several agricultural value chains, including irrigation, mechanisation, protected agriculture, livestock, aquaculture and food processing.

Alan Kelly, Commercial and Strategy Director at InD Group, said Nigeria’s agricultural scale, diversity and influence across West Africa make it an important market for Growtech.

“Nigeria is an important market for Growtech because of its scale, its agricultural diversity, and its influence across the wider West African region. The launch of Growtech West Africa reflects our confidence in the market and the opportunities we see across its agricultural value chains.

“Bringing the Growtech platform to Lagos allows us to engage directly with businesses and professionals seeking technology, expertise, and new commercial connections. We see strong potential in the West African market and believe Nigeria can become a key meeting point for regional and international players, helping build new relationships and support the continued development of agriculture across the region.”

Growtech Portfolio Exhibition Director, Engin Er, said the organisation’s expansion into new agricultural markets reflects growing global demand for platforms that bring businesses, technologies and expertise together.

“West Africa represents an important next step in that journey, given the depth of its agricultural sector and the pace of transformation taking place across the region. Establishing Growtech West Africa in Nigeria gives us the opportunity to bring international agricultural companies and technologies closer to the local market, while creating a space for knowledge and commercial exchange. Our collaboration with NADF will support this by helping us engage with key stakeholders across Nigeria’s agricultural sector.”

The launch is expected to provide Growtech with an opportunity to engage directly with Nigeria’s agricultural businesses and professionals while connecting the country’s agricultural sector with international companies and technologies.

The inaugural Growtech West Africa exhibition is scheduled for January 26 to 28, 2027, at the Landmark Centre in Lagos.

The event will bring together companies and professionals working across seeds and seedlings, plant nutrition and protection, irrigation, greenhouse technologies and controlled-environment agriculture.

Other areas to be represented include agricultural machinery and precision farming, livestock and poultry, aquaculture and fisheries, food processing, and related agricultural technologies.
