Applications have opened for the One Young World Leading Scholarship 2026, an opportunity for exceptional young leaders making positive social, economic, environmental or community impact.
The One Young World Summit 2026 is scheduled to take place from 3–6 November 2026 in Cape Town, South Africa, bringing together young leaders, policymakers, business executives and social innovators from across the world.
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old and demonstrate a strong commitment to creating positive change. They must also be actively addressing local or global challenges through their work and have a track record of developing innovative and impactful solutions.
The scholarship is also open to applicants who can demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to community development.
Successful scholars will receive full delegate access to the One Young World Summit 2026, as well as hotel accommodation from 2–6 November 2026.
The scholarship package includes breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the summit, along with round-trip travel costs to and from Cape Town.
Scholars will also gain access to a global network of more than 20,000 young leaders from 196 countries, creating opportunities to connect with other leaders working on social, economic, environmental and community issues.
Additional benefits include opportunities for speaking engagements, mentoring and regional networking. Successful applicants will also have the opportunity to represent their country during the Summit’s Opening Ceremony and gain global visibility for their work and initiatives.
The scholarship is suitable for young professionals, entrepreneurs, activists, community leaders and changemakers working across a range of areas, including education, climate action, entrepreneurship, governance, technology, healthcare, social inclusion and community development.
Applicants have until 31 August 2026 to submit their applications.
