The Global Good Fund Fellowship 2024 for Social Entrepreneurs

Opportunity Description

The Global Good Fund Fellowship for social enterprise leaders from worldwide aims to support the leadership development of social enterprise leaders. In this case, applicants who are making positive change through business, playing a leadership role in their society, running an organization for at least one year, leading a team, and aged under 40 can apply to this fully-funded program.

This Fellowship is a 12-month hybrid leadership program that accelerates leaders who persistently tackle the most pressing social challenges. It helps the fellows to create a more sustainable and just future for all.

Each leader will receive $10,000 to spend exclusively on leadership development, customized tools, resources, training, and networking opportunities to scale their social impact. They will also provide professional executive coaching and C-suite business mentorship.

Each Fellow will peer one dedicated professional executive coach and one dedicated c-suite executive who works as a business mentor. During the Fellowship, participants will connect with their executive coach and business mentor via Skype, phone, and WhatsApp.

Grant and Activities

Global Good Fund Fellowship consist of the following activities and fund:

  • 360 Leadership Assessment: Fellows take Fellowship’s proprietary leadership assessment and gain a panoramic view of their leadership skills.
  • Summit (In person): The successful fellows will participate in an Annual Global Good Fund Summit each sprint. This summit is a four-day leadership development experience that combines training, networking, and connection among Fellows, alums, and GGF ecosystem members.
  • Executive Coaching (virtual): Fellows will benefit from the 360 Assessment as a starting point to work with their executive coach and develop a personalized Leadership Development Plan.
  • Business Mentorship (virtual): Fellows will peer with a C-suite business executive who will work as a mentor and receive 1:1 support to grow their business successfully
  • Targeted Funds: Fellows will receive a $10,000 grant to use for their Leadership Development explicitly
  • Peer and subject Matter Expert Network: GGF facilitates intentional opportunities for Fellows and alums to learn from each other and many industry experts to address complex challenges.

Who can Apply?

Candidates who fulfill the following criteria can apply for the Global Good Fund Fellowship 2024:

  • The enterprise the candidate leads must have operated for a minimum of two years
  • The enterprise should have a minimum of two full-time, paid employees
  • The candidate’s role should be as follows:
  1. C-Suite (CEO, COO, CTO, CFO, etcetera)
  2. Co-Founder/ Founder & C-Suite
  3. Executive Director
  • The candidate should commit full-time to run the enterprise
  • The enterprise candidate should be leading mission-driven with a positive impact on society.

How to Apply?

The Fellow recruitment for this fellowship program annually initiates for approximately six weeks in May. The overview of the application process occurs in 3 phases as follows:

Phase I: Preliminary Questionnaire (May-June):

  • About 30 minutes series of short-answer questions that assesses the applicant’s alignment with Fellowship Criteria

Phase II: Comprehensive Application (July – August):

  • Mandatory video submission to share your story.
  • Two recommendation letters
  • Financial viability template
  • Short answer questions relevant to the following topics:
  1. Impact measurement
  2. what your enterprise does and what makes it unique
  3. Leadership potential and coachability.
  • Total time to complete: 1-2 hours approx.

Phase III: Interview (September – November):

  • 30-minute video interview
  • Candidates should invite one colleague or community member that can attest to their work to their interview.
