How IED is creating impact for students with Lagos Career Summit

Targets one million (1,000,000) students in secondary school and higher institutions in Nigeria, to help them choose fulfilling career paths and equipping them with the skills and
knowledge.

Insightful Edutech (IED), a pioneering Edutech company, is making efforts in Nigeria’s education landscape to transform the lives of young students through its flagship initiative; the Lagos Career Summit (LCS).

The organization held the third edition of LCS in Lagos recently.

The initiative aims at promoting and empowering youth for a brighter future. It has also been committed to delivering Specific, Measurable, Accurate, Relevant, and Timely (SMART) results to empower students to choose the right path for lifelong success.

According to the Insightful Edutech (IED) and the Lagos Career Summit (LCS), Convener Ephraim Abutu, “we are on a mission to revolutionize career planning for students, ensuring that every young individual can choose a meaningful career and education pathway. Through a blend of innovative programs and cutting-edge technology systems, IED aims to make productive
employment in chosen pathways accessible, efficient, and cost-effective for all students”.

“IED’s LCS program has already touched the lives of over three thousand (3,000) students from more than 150 private secondary schools in Lagos, Ogun, and Oyo states. These students have had the opportunity to explore new career paths, connect with industry experts, and enhance their professional development”, Abutu noted.

He further noted that the program has actively engaged with numerous schools, parents, teachers, career counselors, and school administrators to broaden the horizons of educational and career opportunities for students.

The organization’s goal is to reach One million (1,000,000) students in secondary school and higher institutions in Nigeria, helping them choose fulfilling career paths and equipping them with the skills and knowledge needed for success in the modern job market.”

However, in the coming years, Insightful Edutech (IED) envisions a future of Digital Expansion with the aim to leverage technology to broaden its reach beyond physical events. By developing a comprehensive online platform, the organization intends to provide students across Nigeria with access to career resources, mentorship programs, and AI-powered career guidance tools. This digital expansion will enable IED to impact even more young minds regardless of their location.

“Building partnerships with schools, educational institutions, and government bodies on a national scale will be a key focus. This expansion will ensure that students from diverse backgrounds receive the guidance they need to excel in their chosen paths”, Abutu further noted.

a deeper understanding of the evolving job landscape. This knowledge will
continually update the IED programs in other to align with emerging career trends, ensuring that students receive the most up-to-date guidance”, he revealed.

The annual Lagos Career Summit (LCS) is one of IED’s key initiatives. It offers students aged 13-25 exposure to new career options, access to industry experts, professional development opportunities, and valuable insights into industry trends.
